We just wanted to take a moment to share an encouraging report with those who have been praying for Alanna. Several weeks ago, due to a number of low counts in Alanna's blood work, the hematologist ordered a test of her spleen and the results showed a place on her spleen that needed further testing. This past week, we met with the hematologist again. The results of further testing showed that Alanna has a very large blood vessel showing on her spleen but she may have been born with it. But that was all. There is no cause for concern or need to remove her spleen. We are so thankful as it is our understanding that one of the infections she is being treated for can cause spleen damage.

We just wanted to take a moment and thank all of those who were praying for us this past week as we ministered in a local revival. The Sunday prior, we had done pulpit supply at another church and Alanna had experienced distracting joint pain in her hands making it difficult for her to play the piano for service. Thus, we were concerned about her playing every night this past week. We had specifically requested prayer concerning this matter and God answered!!!! She had one night with some mild pain but otherwise the pain settled elsewhere and she was able to minister without the distraction. We Praise God for this very specific answer to prayer!!!! We are continuing to steadfastly believe God for Alanna's complete and full recovery from Lyme. We are longing to minister full time once again....but in the meantime, we are learning...our faith is growing...and we are witnessing first hand that even in the valley God is abundantly good!!!! We have been so blessed with continued support from God's family as Alanna has battled with Lyme Disease and two serious co-infections over the last five and a half months. Many are praying and wonder how she is doing so we have decided to start a prayer blog to keep folks updated on her condition. The disease attacked her digestive tract and throat making it impossible for Alanna to sing without burning sensations in her throat. It has been almost six months since she has been able to sing in our services. The Lyme specialist we are working with believes there may also be some nerve damage. Though the past several months have been difficult God has been good...abundantly good. We believe, based on a clear promise from God, that Alanna is going to be fully restored to health and free from disease. She is currently undergoing intense treatment for Lyme. Due to the disease not being caught quickly and severity of it, it is projected she will need at least nine months of treatment... Unless God chooses to bring healing sooner. She is struggling with a lot of muscle and joint pain, as well as some nausea, headaches, and feeling flush/feverish and fatigue. We are thanking the Lord that there has been some relief from the constant burning that she had been experiencing in her abdomen! The specialist told us she would go through a "healing crisis" time...but this means the treatment is working. We begin revival again this week and are asking special prayer for Alanna... That God would ease the joint pain as it is painful for her to play the piano right now and give her strength once again as He has done all throughout the summer in camps. We also would value specific prayer for God to help everything heal correctly so she can sing again without pain. We are believing God for full recovery!!! Throughout this illness journey God has time and again gone before us in amazing ways. We have watched Him provide for us repeatedly for which we praise Him! However, our insurance does not cover the Lyme specialist, only some of the specialized testing, and none of the treatment. Therefore, we were asked to set up a go-fund-me account to help cover our medical expenses. Please pray with us that God will continue to provide for needs as hearts respond to Him... He knows how much we need each month to meet the expenses. If any would feel led to donate or pass the news on you can copy/paste this link: Http://www.gofundme.com/alannamcintire Thanks again to all who are upholding us in prayer through this valley. We are truly blessed. We know God hears and answers prayer!!!! We are trusting In Him. Happy in His Service The McIntires We are coming up on our final camp for the summer!
